Welcome to the Adult Transition Program!

The transition from high school to adult life is an exciting and important time for our students. At ATP, learning continues—but it looks different. Our classrooms extend beyond the walls of our program and into workplaces, businesses, and the community, where students have opportunities to practice the skills they will use in their everyday lives.

We are fortunate to have an incredibly dedicated team of teachers, instructional staff, and support professionals who are committed to helping every student continue to grow. Together, we focus on developing skills in the areas that matter most for adulthood, including employment, independent living, communication, self-advocacy, community access, relationships, recreation and leisure, and continued learning.

Preparing for adulthood also means discovering possibilities. Through work experience and job exploration, community-based instruction, independent living experiences, and opportunities to explore adult education or community college, students are encouraged to discover their strengths and interests, develop greater independence, and identify goals for the future. Every student’s path looks different, and our goal is to help each student build the skills and confidence needed to take meaningful next steps.

It is an honor to work alongside such a caring and dedicated team and to serve our students and families during this important chapter. There is something truly special about helping young adults take those next steps, and we are excited about the experiences, growth, and possibilities that lie ahead.
